  1. Bumped the derailleur on my Bulls e-bike from Shimano RD-M6000 to the Shimano RD-M5130. The reason I did this upgrade is because the M5130 is a newer model designed specifically for the e-bikes which is 300% more durable and stronger. It wasn’t a smooth upgrade since the new derailleur uses a different attachment and thus also use a different derailleur hanger. Luckily, I found the hanger that …

  2. I spent so much time adjusting the rear derailleur and never got it right, at the end I gave up and took the to local mechanic who quickly adjusted it and pointed out that the cassette needed to be replaced. I thought the old cassette was good enough for lots more kilometers, but the lowest gears were wear out making the chain skipping under load.

The derailleur part was probably the trickiest to …

  3. I’m getting more confidence with my mtb, but the derailleur still needs some adjustments.

  4. So more or less a month after I started assembling my Bulls bike I’m finally almost at the end of this journey. I took more time then I thought I would, but I wanted to do all the steps properly. Passing all the cables internally and installing/bleeding the Magura brakes was probably the trickiest then the rest, but luckily everything works. Now at this point it just remains to adjust the gear …

  5. I couldn’t believe that a bike part from a German company could be found only in US, and they don’t ship outside NA! Unfortunately for me (and my wallet) this part is a battery cover which is extremely useful for converting a battery bay into a storage. so in the end I got it shipped though myus.com to Italy. BTW, I recommend MyUS, works great.

  6. The new battery has arrived! The Bulls E-Core EVO TR2 bike packs two batteries of 375Wh for a total of 750Wh which is plenty! But, it also can run on only one battery which makes it great for shorter tracks to keep the weight down and provide some storage space from the second battery bay which I think is brilliant!

  7. As an enthusiast of both cycling and learning, I’ve embarked on an exciting project that marries these two passions: restoring my Bulls E-Core EVO TR2 e-mtb. This endeavor is not just about restoring but is a deep dive into the intricacies of what makes e-bikes tick, and more importantly, what makes them roll.

A few years back, this Bulls bike was not mine and it took an unexpected plunge …
